Hon. K.D. Lalkantha, Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Lands, and Irrigation, Undertakes an Inspection Visit to the CESL Head Office
The Hon. K.D. Lalkantha, Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Lands, and Irrigation, recently conducted an inspection visit to the Head Office of Central Engineering Services (Pvt) Ltd (CESL) located in Jawatta.
During the visit, the Minister focused on the institution’s core responsibilities, current operational activities, ongoing progress, and future development plans. He was also briefed on the modern surveying and measurement equipment available at the institution and examined their operational effectiveness. Furthermore, the Minister engaged in a brief discussion with the senior management present.
This visit was attended by Mr. D. P. Wickremasinghe, Secretary of Agriculture, Livestock, Lands, and Irrigation; Eng. A.P. Jayatissa, Chairman of both CESL and CECB; Eng. Anura Semasinghe, Chief Executive Officer of CESL; Eng. S.A.U.D.C. Siriwardhana, General Manager of CECB; Prof. Kushan Kalmith Wijesundara, Director of CECB; Eng. Aravinda Kalugaldeniya, Director of CESL; Chief Operation Engineers of CESL, Eng. Wasantha Heendeniya, Eng. Ranjan Kumara, Eng. Mihira Gunasena, Eng. A. Pushparaja, Eng. Nalin Dhanawardena, Eng. Chinthaka Jayanetti and Eng. Sampath Tennakoon; along with Senior Operation Engineers of the CESL Head Office, Eng. Chamara Balasooriya, Eng. Pubudu Ranawaka and Eng. Amila Wijesinghe; as well as Heads of departments and engineers from CESL Head Office also participated in the event.
